The power of Positive Affirmation
Have you ever heard about Positive Affirmations? How powerful they can be, when used every day, as a habit? I hope you say yes.
Positive Affirmations lead to positive thinking, which leads to positive results in our life, success in our professional and personal life, harmonious and good relationships with ourselves and others, well-being, acceptance, gratitude,…, simple, but powerful tool and technique, let’s discover Why and How.
Affirmations are words, sentences used repeatedly to affirm the trueness of something you believe about your self is one hundred percent true, whether is right or not, those words are put into your subconscious mind, which makes you act, behave, say, think, in some way or another.
It results mostly in our personality of today, on one hand they could be negative affirmations, for example, I am incapable, you are a negative person, I can’t, I am not intelligent, I am not smart, you are stupid, I am naïve,…, on the other hand they could be positive ones, I am intelligent, I am capable, I am solution oriented, I can, I am wise,…
So imagine if you decided today to reprogram your subconscious mind, to alter your state of mind, to change your thoughts to healthy ones, to transform your self-image to a positive image, to help your self-improvement, to have a positive mental attitude, so why not try this out, by using Positive Affirmations.
Effective Affirmations should be in present tense, positive ones, and a lot of practicing. Like, I am a positive person, I am happy, I am grateful, I believe in myself and my abilities, I am intelligent, I am creative,…
I know, that you are probably questioning how these sentences, constructed in this way could do all this, transform you, be someone you want to be or dreamed to be, or just improve some unsatisfied thoughts that are so negative, that they prevent you, paralyze you to progress. I could speak about statistics, studies to prove to you and show by example results of experiences of highly known and successful people, or even talk about psychology to be more profound in our analysis. But the only thing that could prove to you the effectiveness of this technique and practice is by action, and challenging yourself, to start it and to use it.
Some disciplines that will help to exercise this tool, is first by writing them on a paper, use the present tense formula, to emphasis the now in your affirmations, make a list, then repeat them every day, read them out loud with conviction and affirmation of course, you could have some suspicions, just challenge yourself in this exercise, and say I will do it, practice in front of a mirror, meditate, and why not do it in the morning, and just before going to sleep.
